Join us for a flag raising outside of the Civic Centre on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 9 to 9:30 a.m. for International Day of Remembered and Action on Violence Against Women. The ceremony is being held in collaboration with the Yellow Brick House. The ceremony will also be live streamed on our Facebook page. Everyone is invited to join. 

The time has come for the Mount Albert Lions Santa Claus Parade!

The parade will be held on Saturday December 7 at 11 a.m. in Mount Albert. 

Come and meet with Santa at the Mount Albert Community Centre after the parade (53 Main St). There will be hot chocolate and hot dogs for all, candy and entertainment for the kids. 

Non-perishable food items will be collected during the parade so come on out to support the community and enjoy the parade.

The parade route moves north on King Street, turns east on Shannon Road, south on Victoria Street, east onto Mill Street, south on Centre Street, and turns west onto Main Street to the Mount Albert Community Centre.

Roads will be closed along the parade route at 10:50 a.m.

PERFECT DAYS - Hirayama lives alone in a small house full of plants, his days going by according to quiet rhythms that never seem to change. Hirayama speaks very little and has a great passion for music, books, and the trees he loves to photograph. He drives to work in his minivan, fully equipped with his cleaning gear. As if in search of a new cinema on the road, Wenders follows his protagonist and instead discovers new places of the heart.

Film Screening Date: Wednesday, December 11, 2025 at 7 p.m. (Doors open 6:30 p.m.).
